Meditation 1: Be the Best Version of Yourself
Hey there Faithgineer ~
Today’s meditation is intended to help you be more mindful & intentional about the process of being the very best version of yourself.
As we enter this meditative journey together, let’s focus on (i) grounding ourselves into the core essence of our being and (ii) establishing a way of moving through life and work in a way that aligns with our deepest values and beliefs.
As you read this meditation, I invite you to find a quiet moment and space for reflection.
Let’s flow into it …
Imagine yourself walking on a path that represents your life’s journey.
Visualize the surroundings, the feel of the ground, the sounds you hear, and the scents you smell.
Now, consider and reflect on the values that are important to you and the principles that guide your actions and decisions (e.g., value, integrity, fairness, inclusion, excellence…).
These values form the bedrock of your way of being.
****
As you envision yourself walking along this path representing your life, affirm your commitment to live by your values and principles.
Take a moment to consider what makes each value and principle meaningful to you and why it’s important to align your daily actions with them.
Feel the strength and confidence that comes from your alignment.
****
Think about how this way of being influences and impacts your daily life, your interactions, your work, and your personal goals.
Picture yourself embodying these values and principles in everything you do.
****
Now that you are in your flow of picturing how you are and will continue to align your actions with your values & principles, let’s anchor this mindfulness meditation with scripture.
In the Word, Psalm 119:105 says, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
Let this verse inspire you – guiding you on your path, illuminating your way, and aligning your steps with God’s will and purpose for your life and work (with a capital W).
****
I invite you to wind down this time of mindfulness by taking a moment to breathe deeply, allowing yourself to embrace the sense of alignment and purpose you’ve nurtured while reading these words.
Know this: Every day of this new year is an opportunity to walk in and establish your way of being, guided by your faith and anchored in the wisdom you gain from God’s presence.
Believe this and walk with confidence as you expect great things.
