Meditation 2: Embrace the Supernatural through Bible Study
Hey there, Faithgineer ~
As we continue our #FaithFocusFlow series of mindfulness meditations, let’s turn our attention to the peace and power found in strengthening your practice of mindful Bible study.
This meditation is all about helping you create, cultivate, and nurture dedicated moments for reading or listening to God’s Holy Word, allowing Holy Spirit to speak to you through the wisdom of Scripture.
On our faith journey, dedicating time to study the bible is not just an act of discipline; it’s an invitation to deepen our understanding and connection with God.

Let’s flow …
Envision a space, your personal sanctuary, where you can soak in God’s Word and wisdom, undisturbed.
This space could be a cozy corner in your home, a spot in nature, or anywhere you feel connected and at peace.
***
Visualize yourself in this space, bible in hand, a notebook or journal to record what God reveals to you, and your favorite bible study or commentary for deeper insight.
Consider what times in your day you can commit and dedicate to a daily practice of bible study. The most opportune time for you could be early morning before the world awakes, during your lunch break, or perhaps in the quiet of the evening.
***
Choose a time for bible study that is mindful of your daily schedule and responsibilities in a way that resonates with your rhythm and routine.
As you picture yourself in your chosen space and time for bible study, see yourself with an open heart and mind that is being nourished and renewed by what you read and what God reveals to you through scripture. Each verse, each story, and every word presenting an opportunity for dialogue between you and Holy Spirit.
***
Allow yourself to be guided by curiosity and wonder as you read scripture and ponder both the text and the context in which the text was written for guidance.
Use your notebook or journal to ask questions, seek answers, and be open to the revelations and insights that Holy Spirit reveals.
Holy Spirit is your companion on your faith journey, illuminating God’s Word, helping you better understand God’s Word through commentary, and making scripture relevant to your life and present circumstances in life and business.
***
As you envision yourself immersed in scripture, reflect on 2 Timothy 3:16-17 –
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
This passage reminds us of the transformative power of all scripture in our lives. It is our job to read the bible, consult resources for greater understanding, and be open to the wisdom of scripture as revealed through Holy Spirit.
***
As we wind down this time of mindfulness, take a deep breath and allow yourself to feel refreshed and renewed by your commitment to your practice of studying and finding yourself in God’s Holy Word. Embrace the wisdom of scripture and the peace it brings to your daily life, in all areas of your life.
Know this: Every day is an opportunity to read your bible and let the wisdom therein illuminate your path, strengthen your faith, and increase your wisdom.
Believe this truth and approach your time for Bible study with great expectation and joy, for it is a source of divine knowledge and guidance.
