“Embrace the wisdom of Proverbs 3:9, ‘Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops,’ as we explore managing finances with God’s guidance.”
Hey there, Faithgineer,
Welcome to Mindfulness Meditation. This meditation is all about God’s guidance, grace, and mercy in our financial stewardship. Find a peaceful place for this meditation – and bring along your Bible, favorite pen, and your #FaithFocusFlow notebook to record divine insights as Holy Spirit reveals them to you.
Let’s start our meditation with a few deep, calming breaths.
Take a deep breath in and inhale thoughts of being a good financial steward;
Take a deep breath out and exhale any trepidation about managing your finances.
Now, let’s journey together in seeing yourself as a trustworthy financial steward.
Recognize God as Source
Contemplate your understanding that all wealth originates from God based on the biblical truth that all good things come from the Lord, who gives us the ability to create wealth.
See yourself in a state of thankfulness, expressing gratitude to God for the financial blessings you have received (as evidenced by your ability to access this meditation) and the financial blessings yet to be released to you, but are soon coming for your use and stewardship.
Honor God with Your Wealth
See yourself operating in financial abundance. Imagine the good that you can do with your overflow of financial resources when you are confident that your needs are met. Open up your notebook and write down the people, places, and things you will support with your finances.
Imagine God looking upon you with warmth as you spend and invest your money in ways that honor Him by making the earth more like it is in heaven. Contemplate what this means to you and write about it in your journal.
See yourself joyfully allocating resources for tithing, giving, saving, investing, and wise spending.
Create a Wise Budget
Reflect on the importance of being intentional in your spending, investing, and saving so you are maximizing the impact of every penny, be it for living, serving, investing, saving, working, or playing.
See yourself sitting in a place that is comfortable and peaceful, creating a budget that allows you to maximize all that you have in a way that honors your need to live today and save for tomorrow. Imagine that your act of planning your finances inspires a grateful vibe, no matter how much or little is in your budget.
See yourself being grateful for the opportunity to look at your finances with the knowledge that you can have a direct impact on the numbers you see because God has given you the ability to create wealth. Imagine yourself using a physical or electronic log to track your expenses and keep you accountable to what you have determined is responsible and enjoyable for you.
Enjoy Abundance, Responsibly
Envision yourself enjoying an abundantly prosperous life that is aligned with your income, revenue, expenses, and responsibilities. Picture yourself being completely aware and in control of your finances, confident that you have the ability to generate wealth when desired, and to rest and enjoy what you have been responsible for stewarding at your discretion.
See yourself harvesting fields you’ve planted or acquired in ways that bring you joy and make the earth more like it is in heaven. Consider what this means to you and write it down.
Picture yourself using your abundance to enrich your life and help others, maintaining a balance of enjoyment and generosity.
Seek Divine Guidance in Financial Decisions
I invite you to now visualize yourself seeking guidance and instruction from Holy Spirit as you make financial decisions as they arise. See yourself tracking your expenses digitally or in an expense log like we have at FaithFocusFlow.com feeling confident and encouraged that your financial habits are decent and in order.
Imagine yourself with clarity and peace from knowing your financial decisions are guided by Holy Spirit and favored by God when you first seek Him in your finances.
Trust God’s Provision
As you think about your current financial situation, let your heart be comforted and encouraged in knowing that your financial needs and desires can be fulfilled through your faith (which includes your works) and through God’s provision and grace.
Build a Legacy of Generosity
Reflect upon what creating a legacy that mirrors your faith through generosity and wise financial stewardship means to you. Write down what comes to mind.
I invite you to consider how your financial legacy can positively impact your family, and community, and help to make the earth more like it is in heaven.
***
As we wind down this meditation, carry with you the assurance of God’s guidance in your financial decisions when you first seek him. Let this wisdom lead you to peace, purpose, and prosperity as you see your financial present and future.
May your financial stewardship be a reflection of your faith and a testament to God’s mercy and grace.
Amen.
