Meditation 5: Overwhelm to Overflow
Hey there, Faithgineer!
In this #FaithFocusFlow meditation, we are walking through a common challenge – overcoming the sense of overwhelm. Overwhelm can be a root cause of procrastination, fatigue, depression, and other barriers to productivity and prosperity in our businesses, careers, and daily activities.
Let’s now focus on transitioning from being overwhelmed to being in a space and feeling of overflow.
See yourself in the midst of your daily life. Are you surrounded by ‘to-do’ lists, schedules, planners, stacks of papers, or other reminders that you’re behind or perhaps do not have a schedule at all?
Recognize the feelings of overwhelm as they begin to rise within you. Acknowledge these feelings, but do not let them linger.

Now, shift your perspective. Instead of striving to control and conquer every aspect of what seems out of control, see yourself embracing a posture of seeking, surrendering, and opening your heart to seek guidance and wisdom from God. In this space of seeking and surrender, envision yourself in prayer and meditation.
See yourself connecting with God by sharing your burdens and seeking His counsel. Feel the weight of overwhelm lifting as you surrender your worries and trust that God has plans for your life, plans in which all things are working for your ultimate good.
****
As you engage in this practice of seeking, surrendering, and being with God, allow yourself to feel a transformation occurring within you.
Now, envision yourself looking at your surrounding environment with a clear vision that allows you to identify what is most important for you to do and then either schedule, delegate, or completely discard all other things.
****
Where you once felt overwhelmed, envision a wellspring of clarity and direction as you flow through your day.
As you find yourself in this feeling of overflow, see yourself moving through the things on your agenda with a renewed sense of purpose and ease – each action you take guided not by frantic energy but by calm assurance in God’s direction and providence.
Know This: In moments of overwhelm, the key to transitioning from overwhelm to overflow is not to work harder but to deepen your faith and reliance on God. Trust that God is providing the wisdom, resources, and guidance needed to navigate through life’s challenges and that what you need is within your reach.
As we wind down this meditation, I invite you to take a deep breath and feel the transformation from feeling overwhelmed to being in a state of overflow. Let this new way of being in overflow fill you with confidence and peace.
Trust This: God is with you every moment, available to turn your overwhelm into ease and overflow. Believe in the power of seeking and surrendering to God. Walk through your day confident that your path is illuminated by God’s wisdom, love, grace, mercy, and light.
May your day be blessed, your overwhelm eliminated, and your heart filled with love, peace, and joy. Amen.
