Meditation 14: A Psalm 112 Visualization for Business Leaders & Owners

Let us embrace the wisdom of Joshua 1:8, meditating on God’s Word day and night for prosperity and success. ~ Coach TC 

Hey there, Faithgineer – 

In this Mindfulness Meditation, I invite you to join me on a journey through Psalm 112, envisioning its promises alive in your business ventures and in your life.

Prepare for Meditation

Find a peaceful place, bringing along with you a Bible, your favorite pen or highlighter, and your #FaithFocusFlow notebook. You’ll need these resources to write down whatever Holy Spirit reveals to you during this time of meditation, and perhaps reference specific passages in the bible if you are so led …. 

As we begin our time together, I invite you to take deep, grounding breaths. 

Inhale, the truth of God’s Word; 

Exhale, any doubts or fears.

Contemplation, Impact, and Application 

We’ll get started by contemplating each verse of Psalm 112 (NIV), visualizing its impact on our business journey, and applying its wisdom to our entrepreneurial spirit. 

Contemplate the Power of Reverence 

Verse 1 of Psalm 112 tells us,  “Praise the Lord. Blessed are those who fear the Lord, who find great delight in his commands.” 

Picture yourself leading your business ventures with a profound reverence for God, experiencing joy in the wisdom that flows from being obedient to bible-based principles and Christ-centered practices. 

Contemplate a Legacy of Strength

Verse 2 says, “Their children will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed.”

Visualize the legacy you are creating through business, building a wealthy foundation for future generations to be influential, impactful, and prosperous – making the earth more like it is in heaven. 

Contemplate Abundance and Enduring Righteousness 

Verse 3 tells us, “Wealth and riches are in their houses, and their righteousness endures forever.”

Imagine your business ventures thriving as you see yourself flourishing spiritually and financially, being a beacon of light, illuminating the benefits of living righteously with integrity. 

Contemplate Light in the Darkness

Verse 4 reads, “Even in darkness light dawns for the upright, for those who are gracious and compassionate and righteous.” 

Picture yourself overcoming your challenges in all aspects of your career and business with grace, your business shining as a light of hope that inspires others to operate using business practices that are both compassionate and righteous. 

Contemplate Generosity and Justice

Verse 5 says, “Good will come to those who are generous and lend freely, who conduct their affairs with justice.” 

See your business ventures flourishing and envision yourself building brands known for generosity and fairness, while reaping the rewards that flow kindness and justice.

Contemplate Being Unshakeable and Memorable 

Verse 6 tells us, “Surely the righteous will never be shaken; they will be remembered forever.” 

Feel the confidence of doing Work (with a capital W) in the marketplace that is rooted in righteousness, unshaken by trials, and building a sustainable legacy of righteous, influence, and impact.

Contemplate Steadfastness in Trust 

Verse 7 tells us, “They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord.” 

Imagine yourself facing uncertainties in business with unwavering faith, trusting in God’s guidance and in His divine providence.

Contemplate Triumph and Security 

Verse 8 says, “Their hearts are secure, they will have no fear; in the end they will look in triumph on their foes.” 

Picture your business overcoming obstacles, see your business and yourself triumphant and secure all along your journey through the marketplace through your faith in God’s promises, grace, and mercy.

Contemplate Generosity and Honor

Verse 9 reads, “They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor, their righteousness endures forever; their horn will be lifted high in honor.” 

Visualize your success in business as a means to generously support others, including kingdom ventures, earning honor and respect in doing so, while glorifying God in the process.

Contemplate the Contrast between the Righteous and the Wicked

Verse 10 tells us, “The wicked will see and be vexed, wasting away; the longings of the wicked will come to nothing.” 

Think about the stark contrast between the righteous, who are committed to doing their best to pursue God’s will, and the wicked, who do the opposite. 

See yourself and your decisions in the pursuit of righteousness, being immune to the attacks of the wicked, and being covered by God.   

Making the Earth More Like Heaven 

As we wind down our time together in this meditation, see yourself allowing the fullness of Psalm 112 to guide your thoughts, decisions, and actions in the marketplace. 

Let this wisdom guide your thoughts and your actions, reminding you always of the blessings that flow from standing on bible-based principles and Christ-centered practices in all that you do in the marketplace and beyond.
